This improved control leads to better indoor air quality, greater productivity and increased energy efficiency. Managing airflow in today’s HVAC systems requires much more precision than it did a decade ago. Over forty states have now adopted international codes as a guide to promote occupant health and safety by improving methods of measuring and controlling the minimum outside air. Enhanced control leads to better indoor air quality and energy conservation. Ruskin’s complete line of air measuring and IAQ product are designed with the latest code requirements in mind. Newly adopted codes require that all outside air dampers within the building envelope are designed to provide a maximum leakage rate of 3 cfm/ft2 @ 1” water column. Additionally, the dampers must monitor and control the minimum outside air to insure ventilation requirements are is being satisfied. From total monitoring and control of the air to simple measurement of the airflow at various points within the system, Ruskin has a product that has been designed to fit the application. All products are tested in Ruskin’s AMCA certified testing facility. For more details about the codes that have influenced Ruskin’s design read ASHRAE Standard 62 and AMCA 90.1-2001. Visit the International Code Council website at www.iccsafe.org to see if International Codes have been adopted in your state or local area. * For Product Application Assistance Contact * Steve Liescheidt, P.E, CCPR, CCS * E-Mail: stevel@lsco-inc.com
